Tylenol
Tylenol medication is used to treat minor aches and pains due to headaches, muscle aches, backache, arthritis, the common cold, flu, sore teeth, menstrual cramps, and vaccinations, and to temporarily reduce fever.
Tylenol is an analgesic and antipyretic (reduces fever). It works with the reduction of a chemical in the brain that stimulates nerve pain and heat regulating center in the brain.
Some medical conditions may interact with this medicine. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
- If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding
- If you are taking any medicine without prescription or preparing herbal or dietary supplement
- If you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
- If you have a history of alcohol abuse or drink more than 3 drinks containing alcohol every day
- If you have problems with kidney or liver, hepatitis, or phenylketonuria (PKU)
Some prescription drugs may interact with antigens. Tell your health care provider if you are taking other medicines, in particular one of the following:
- Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), because the risk of side effects, such as bleeding, can be increased by antigens
- Isoniazid because of the risk of liver problems may be increased
This is not a complete list of all the interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if antigens may interact with other medications you are taking. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop or change the dose of any medicine.
Use tylenol as directed by your doctor. Check the label on medicine for the exact dosage instructions.
- Take tylenol pills with the mouth with or without food.
- Replace original cap to keep child resistance.
- If you miss a dose of antigens and you are taking regularly, take it as soon as possible. If I spent more hours or if it is almost time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. Do not take 2 doses at once.
